Intel 430HX PCIset Design Guide

This manual is intended to be a central reference for high-performance system designs based on the latest members of the Pentium® processor family. Information is provided on the Intel 430HX PCIset (430HX), Motherboard Design, layout and design considerations.

The design shown in this reference manual has been developed by Intel Corporation and is called a Flexible Motherboard Reference Design. Although the reference design has actually been built and tested, the information included in this package should be considered preliminary and subject to change. The Intel Pentium Processor with the 430HX enables the PC industry to design systems that are efficient, well-balanced, and optimized. The 430HX incorporates features that enhance today's new operating systems, such as Windows*95. The 430HX utilizes bus master IDE to reduce CPU utilization. Following the guidelines in this design guide will allow you to design systems that can run the highest performing Pentium processors and the latest 32-bit multitasking, multithreading operating systems.
